Akari (灯) is a spirit that comes every year to give demons and spirits a ground cherry for the monster procession.

Akari is an anthropomorphized yellow cat with big ears and eyes. She wears a teal kimono and carries a ground cherry. Whenever she gives a ground cherry away, a new one appears in her hand.
