Game of Letters, ("Shiritori", シリトリ) is the fifth episode of the xxxHolic anime series.
Overview[]
Watanuki encounters an uncommon oden shop in the middle of the night, while engaging in a dangerous task with Mokona's aid. Watanuki meets the fox family and later gives the little fox an arrow of virtue. The full moon brings new life to Yūko's shop.

- The episode adapts chapter 20 and chapter 40.
- In chapter 20:
- In the manga Watanuki complains about making also dinner for Doumeki. It was cut from the anime.
- The archery contest which Doumeki was participating didn't happen in the manga. The events take after the archery contest.
- In chapter 40:
- The backpack Yuko gave to Kimihiro is similar to the backpack Sakura Kinomoto wears in Cardcaptor Sakura. It also has a pair of wings as detail which resemble the tiny wings of Kero.
- Kimihiro asked Yuko if he can take the pipe fox but Yuko told him the pipe fox can't go there.
- Kimihiro runs an errand for a shop called Yoto do. It probably translates as "The Lamp House".
