xxxHOLiC is a live-action adaptation film based on the manga series of the same name by CLAMP and produced by Fumitsugu Ikeda and Mitsuru Uda. The film is directed by Mika Ninagawa, and features an all-star cast including Ryūnosuke Kamiki (Kimihiro Watanuki), and Ko Shibasaki (Yūko Ichihara). The film was scheduled to release in Japanese theaters on April 29th, 2022. [1] [2]
Synopsis[]
The original 's story follows Yuuko — a witch who grants people's wishes, but in return the person has to give up something precious — and Kimihiro Watanuki, a man who has visions. One day, Watanuki encounters Yuuko and she promises to get rid of the spirits that torment him. In return Watanuki must work in Yuuko's shop and help her grant other people's wishes.
Yuko, the indulgent mistress of "Mise" who grants wishes, and loneliness where you can see "Ayakashi" who haunts the darkness of people's hearts. A story centered on a high school student, Watanuki. Watanuki, who wants to erase her own ability and live her normal life, is led by a butterfly one day to reach "Mise". Yuko whispers that she will give him his "most precious thing" to fulfill his wish on April 1st... It is a title that has been made into various media such as theatrical version animation, TV animation, live-action drama, and stage.
